ALLOW YOURSELF to FEEL"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"dnn_ctr514_HtmlModule_lblContent\" class=\"Normal\" style=\"color: #2e3d47;\">\n<p>To deny yourself the right to feel, is to deny yourself the right to be human.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">Isn&#8217;t it more &#8216;elite&#8217; to live above a base emotional level &amp; to focus instead on the virtues of discipline &amp; self-control? &#8216;Elite&#8217; perhaps, but usually the more difficult &amp; challenging option!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 128, 0);\"><b>Feelings are your friend!<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Although we don&#8217;t live by them, we simply MUST hear them, acknowledge them, feeeeel them&#8230;. then make right choices\u00a0<i>despite<\/i>\u00a0them!<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 128, 0);\"><b>Emotions are alive!<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>When we ignore them, or bury them, their &#8216;life&#8217; squirts out in other ways. Mismanaged emotions can result in physical, nervous, or mental conditions\/labels.<\/p>\n<p>In relation to feelings, consider that what goes up, must always come down again!<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 128, 0);\"><b>Acknowledge the fear<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Fear\u00a0can be realized as you consider letting go &amp; forgiving; fear that next time will be the same; the same misunderstandings, the same emotional torment\/turmoil, the same prison , the same feelings of being backed into the corner again! Face your fears head on! Be real with yourself, &amp;\u00a0<b>decide\/choose<\/b>, to do it afraid anyway! Realize that often the feelings will be mostly negative until new pathways of managing the feelings are grasped; until new pathways in your thinking are forged; \u2018new pathways of righteousness,&#8230;&#8230;for\u00a0<b>His<\/b>\u00a0names sake\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Understand that\u00a0<b>the emotional response to feeling threatened<\/b>\u00a0&amp; backed into a corner is to become\u00a0<b>hostile &amp; defensive<\/b>. You will default to reacting every time until you begin to catch &amp; identify the feelings and discipline yourself to respond differently!<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 128, 0);\"><b>Journal DAILY<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><b>Consider starting a &#8216;feelings&#8217; Journal<\/b>. Stop, look &amp; listen by asking, what am I feeling right now? Write it down. (It may look s&#8217;thing like a Melbourne weather report; changing often &amp; suddenly, but that&#8217;s okay! The nature of feelings are indeed fickle! Validate your feelings, but understand &amp; remember their untrustworthy nature! Be careful not to over-intellectualize or journal your thoughts, just your feelings. A helpul list follows:-<b>Am I<\/b>\u00a0angry, joyful, hurt, hateful, sad, peaceful, loved, scared, excited, worried, loving, satisfied<\/p>\n<p>Tune into what your soul is telling you &amp; tell yourself, \u2018all is well with my soul\u2019. Even when the feelings are what they are, &amp; often negative, \u2018all is well with my soul\u2019!!!<\/p>\n<p><b>Choose<\/b>\u00a0to allow yourself to FEEL!\u00a0<b>Determine the emotion, then thoughtfully choose the right response!<\/b>\u00a0Control your feelings, instead of allowing them to control you!<\/p>\n<p>Remember, it&#8217;s not your emotions that are bad, but the\u00a0<b>thought processes\u00a0<\/b>attached to the feelings that start a negative chain reaction!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To deny yourself the right to feel, is to deny yourself the right to be human.
